Video post of (MY) new engine purchased from Ed Brenner, in this video is subjects:
1. New fuel filter cutoff valves used to assist in repriming the engine if needed.
2. Insulating complete engine exhaust system to contain heat from engine compartment & main cabin bedroom.
3. Use of Skinner Valves before removing the one normally used for Hi-Idol.

Gears on front of engine set up for original design of 318 DD.
1. Clean up, painting & indicating center of Bell Housing on Assembly.
2. When purchased, congestion of the fuel system dangled all over on the front of the bus engine.
3. New arrangement of fuel filters and replumbing of the same for neatness.
4. Engine oil recovery reservoir with drain plug on bottom on each side of engine.
5. Installing new #55 Fuel Injectors & running the rack with Mike Czmet.
6. Installation of new air throttle on Governor in place of redundant rods from front of bus to back.
7. Rodding out MY new radiator
8. The new fuel system on the engine has new ball type shut off valves to shut down the engine and also to reprime the engine if needed using a pump bulb and portable reservoir of diesel fuel.
9. Cleaning of engine and re tapping of all threaded holes.
10. Cleaning and repainting of Bell housing.
11. My many thanks to Cliff Allen for the complete engine gasket system for the bus to reassemble my engine components.

prepping and painting the engine compartment including mounting of 2 new engine bay cooling engine and forcing out fumes from engine to back of bus and out into the air.
1. Rented & loaded uhaul trailer to go pick up new engine from Ed Brenner
2. The engine at Ed’s rolled over, our struggle to upright the engine for placing on the trailer for the trip back to our home.
3. Dangerous risks taken to upright the overturned engine.
4. Ed’s hot rod he drives.
5. Engine uprighted and bell housing mounted to transport engine on trailer.
6. Putting a new engine on the uhaul trailer and strapping down for moving to Piedmont.
7. New engine removed off trailer and ready for inspection.
8. New engine mounted to Engine assembly / test stand.
9. Setting up gears in front of the engine to have the engine timed to 318 dd design.
10. View of filthy engine on test / assembly stand ready for clean up.
11. Transmission picked up by Engine hoist to clean and paint.
12. My original bus engine and views of piston parts found in inspection ports on the side of the engine
13. Removal of transmission off my old original engine to be used on my new engine.
14. Starting to remove old engine clutch to see if usable on new engine
15. Serious cracks and hardened heat marks all over the entire clutch & flywheel. Clutch determined to be unusable and flywheel needs resurfacing.
16. The engine needs steam cleaning badly before reassembling any new parts.
17. New power steering pump, (never had before) purchased from Sonni Grey, disassembled, cleaned and repainted.
18. Painting of old bell housing to be used on a new engine.
19. Assembly of face gaskets to bell housing for assembly.
20. New engine fitted to the newly renovated and painted engine cradle.
